Ukrainian-Speaking Immigration Lawyer in Canada

I am Yuliya Dumanska, a licensed Canadian immigration lawyer based in Toronto. I speak Ukrainian, English and Spanish, and I work with clients across Canada fully remotely.

If you came to Canada from Ukraine — for example under CUAET — you can discuss your case in Ukrainian, in your own words, without an interpreter and without anything getting lost in translation.

Українською: Я — Юлія Думанська, імміграційний адвокат у Канаді. Ми можемо обговорити вашу справу українською мовою. Працюю дистанційно з клієнтами по всій Канаді.

Looking for a Ukrainian-speaking immigration consultant in Canada?

Many people search for an “immigration consultant” when they really need legal help with their immigration case.

There is an important difference. A regulated immigration consultant (RCIC) and a lawyer are not the same.

As a lawyer licensed in Ontario, I can do everything an immigration consultant can do for your application — and more. I can also represent you in Federal Court, at hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board, and in difficult cases, such as a refusal, an appeal, or criminal inadmissibility.

You do not pay for someone to just fill in forms. You get a legal strategy for your case: which programs you can actually use, what risks can hurt you, and what to do now so you do not lose your options later.

How I can help

  • Permanent residence (PR) — all federal and provincial programs, including Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) in every province
  • Humanitarian and compassionate (H&C) applications
  • Family sponsorship — spouse, common-law partner, children and parents
  • Refugee claims, hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board, and appeals
  • Federal Court — judicial review of a refusal
  • Work permits and work permit extensions, including for Ukrainians under CUAET
  • Difficult cases — refusals, criminal inadmissibility, and other inadmissibility problems
  • Interviews with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)

You do not need to be in Toronto

My practice is fully remote. Most of my clients are outside Toronto, in other cities and other provinces.

We meet by phone or video. Documents are exchanged online. You do not need an in-person meeting for a consultation, for a PR application, or for an H&C case.

Book a consultation

Choose the format that fits your situation:

One question — 15 minutes, $150
You are handling your own case and got stuck on one specific point. You ask one question, I answer it. No document review.

Full consultation — 30 minutes, $226
I will advise you on all the immigration options open to you — federal and provincial programs, sponsorship, H&C, appeals, and difficult cases such as inadmissibility — and which service is right for your situation. Most clients need this one, because the real question is rarely just one question.

Urgent consultation — 30 minutes, $339
You received a letter or a refusal from IRCC, or a deadline is close and your case cannot wait. If no time is open in the calendar, send a message to @dumanskalaw on Instagram.

Payment is by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay when you book in Calendly.

Common questions

Do you speak Ukrainian?
Yes. I speak Ukrainian, English and Spanish. You can have your full consultation in Ukrainian.

Are you a lawyer or an immigration consultant?
I am a licensed Canadian lawyer, not an immigration consultant. That means I can also represent you in Federal Court and at Immigration and Refugee Board hearings, and in appeals and inadmissibility cases.

Can you help me if I do not live in Toronto or Ontario?
Yes. I work with clients all over Canada, fully remotely. Your city or province does not prevent us from working together.

I arrived under CUAET. Can you help me get PR?
In many cases, yes — but there is no single CUAET program for everyone. Your options depend on your work in Canada, your job and its location, your language results, your family situation, and your history in Canada. At the consultation, we look at all the programs you may be able to use, including provincial programs and H&C.

How much is a consultation and how do I book?
There are three formats: one question (15 minutes, $150), a full consultation (30 minutes, $226), and an urgent consultation (30 minutes, $339). Book by clicking the button below – — you choose the format when you book.
