Fees & Retainer
Before we perform any work, we will ask you to pay a retainer and to sign an agreement with us outlining the terms of solicitor-client relationship.
A retainer is a lump sum of money paid to a lawyer upfront to secure the services of the lawyer and to cover legal fees and other future expenses related to the legal matter. The retainer is kept in the lawyer’s trust account, and only paid to the lawyer after the client has been billed for the services.
Ms. Dumanska’s standard rate is $350 per hour but in almost all circumstances, we will ask for a fixed fee to perform the requested services.
Fixed fees provide certainty to clients for standard transactions.
